OK, who has the longest wait that is currently Clean and Unscheduled?
I cancelled my order on February 28th, exactly seven months from its original order date. It was C&U at the time. My dealer was getting hosed on allocation issues, he basically called me and told me his dealership wasn't getting any GTs built until at least May. I finally gave up cancelled. I'm picking up almost the same car in Detroit on Friday, though, so it worked out all right.

So my 7/28/04 wins.

I am in the Kansas City area and purchased the car from a small town Ford dealer - the city dealers were marking the GT up $3,000. So i ordered to avoid that markup.

OK, who has the oldest CURRENT order that is CLEAN and UNSCHEDULED? Just curious. This is more of a joke now.

I ordered a V6 coupe premium package IUP-ESP-Traction control back on 11/15/04. The first salesguy I went through told me the car was built at the end of Dec and just waiting on the IUP. After waiting the 12 weeks I was told it was going to take because of allocation problems, I started to turn up the heat. Talked to the new car mgr and he said the car was never built. The next day my salesman called me back to say his mgr was wrong and the car was built. :bang: :bang: This went back and forth for a few days, then I went in and threatened to cancel my order and go to a different dealer 3 hours away in Columbus, Ohio. The mgr showed me they "bumped up" my order to the number one position and gave me the vin# as proof. I still have to wait till at least March 14th, but more than likely the 26th.

So do I win the prize since it was ordered on 11/15/04 and is only a V6 coupe?

It looks like it's me! I ordered a torch red gt premium with iup and red leather, and shaker 1000, upgrade wheels. everything deposited $500.00 on 10-27-04 according to the auto line as of feb 28 c/u. The dealer i ordered with has gone round and round with there ford rep about there allocations. Since the car came out they have had one gt come in. They sold 16 mustangs last year and three of them were mach 1's so they are clearly moving the cars off the lot. They just can't get any to move.

Yes sir, I believe you do....considering the V-6's are SUPPOSED to be easy to get.

That is the same situation as my dealer. The bad thing is the one they did get was a Sonic Blue with IUP and I passed on it like a moron. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:
