Steering still groans :(

So, I had replaced the power steering pump because it was groaning on stand stills when I turned the wheel. Seemed to be working fine for about a week after installing a used steering pump. Then it started groaning again. Went out and bought a new (well, refurb) steering pump from autozone. Still groans. Now, I realize it's "possible" the new one is shot too but I'm starting to think not. It seems like it works fine under normal driving conditions with speed but slow corners and especially parking spots are extremely obvious that somethings wrong? Especially seems like turning right is worse than turning left. What else could it be? Steering rack?????

Did you properly bleed the rack? Could be that or the rack itself, is the rack leaking?

I had the same issue. Apply some WD-40 on the rubber bushings of the upper control arm. I did that and have not had the noise again

Should be. Don't really see a separate proceedure for bleeding the rack vs. bleeding the steering system in general. I've tried 3 times and even put in some Lucas additive on the last time. I'll try one more time tonight.

I don't know. As much as it's groaning this time with the rebuilt vs. the used one I'm thinking it's more than the bushings. I'll try it again. Maybe it's the rack, etc. I might just try and take this pump back and get another. I had a similar problem a month ago with a rebuilt starter from Autozone for my S10. I got one start out of it and it went bad.
