19" wheels on a 1st Gen 197?

Hey Fellas,

Does anyone currently run a set of 19" wheels on thier first gen S197? I've been bouncing back and fourth on staying with the 18" or the 19" size. Does anyone have pictures or any input? I have a Shelby GT so I already have the lowered Ford Racing suspension and all that jazz.

Anyways thanks in advance guys

I ran 19" GT Premium rims on my 2006 for about a year. I lowered the suspension right before switching out to the 20" rims, and I had no issues with the 19's and rubbing.

Pics below are at stock ride height.

I was running on 19s (245/45/19) for a long time (prior to lowering), and will be going back to them hopefully this week.

In my viewpoint, they're the perfect size for our cars...not too much sidewall, but not the bling of 20s either.

Pictures all over of 19's on early S197's. Be aware, 19" tires cost more than 18's and 20's. I'm actually getting ready to switch back to 18's because I don't feel like paying tire prices on 19's anymore.
