Stang killer?
In my opinion, the Crossfire SRT-6 (or whatever it's called) won't be cattering to the same crowd as the Mustang GT. The only Mustang that might be cross-shopped with the SRT-6 would be the new Cobra in '06-'07. And honestly, anyone looking at a new Cobra, won't look to spend the same money on a slower Crossfire. 330hp may sound nice when compared to the '05 GT's 300 hp, but the new Cobra should have well over 400hp.
Let me also add, i am only guessing, but i think the '05 Mustang GT will likely outperform the SRT-6. Ford has been under-rating their power figures lately, and rumor has it they are doing so with the new 3 valve motor in the '05 GT. But, even if the SRT-6 is a couple of ticks faster than the '05 GT, it still costs almost double the amount and doesn't appeal to a potential Mustang buyer in any area, especailly the looks department. So, i am still wondering how this comparison even comes about?
The new GTO does compare to a certain degree, but doesn't show up in a very favorable light next to the '05 GT either. If the '05 Mustang GT puts out numbers at least as good as the current Mach 1, but with better design and engineering, where does that leave the GTO in a comparison? Especially when you bring in the issue of price again. Lots of questions left to be answered in a couple of months. We will see.

I recently spent some time in the Chrysler showroom, and sat in both the driver and passenger seat of the Crossfire. It is cramped ! I'm 5'11" and my legs were hitting this lower panel that juts out in the lower part of the cabin. On the drivers side, I figured that the seat was moved forward, so for fun I jumped in the passenger side, and put the seat all the way back. Same problem there - plus I would never be able to make a long trip, my legs would have to stay in this bent position without any wiggle room below the knee cap. This car is definitely for people with a small build. Just as a comparison, I believe that the 2004 Mustang has much more seating room.

Actually, chevy is getting rid of the Cavalier and replacing it with the Cobalt which, in fact, does have an SS model...

Hold your horses boys and girls, just because it has 330hp doesn't necessarily mean it faster than the 05.
Lets wait till we test the Crossfire and 05 to say for sure.
I would never take a crossfire, no matter how fast, over a stang though.

The CrossFire, although a Very Nice Design, is Just too Damned Small, the same goes for the RX 8! I know most will say, No, I'm just too Big, but the CrossFire is built on an Old SLK Chassis, which was tiny to begin with. Besides The CrossFire Is No Competition for the Mustang, let alone a Mustang Killer, C'mon lets be real. It's a 2 seat Overstyled Toy for People with more Money Than Sense.
Comparing interiors, the 05 is way better than the SLK/Crossfire. Also, as said before, in terms of price, with the lower price of the 05 GT, ya can put some nice 'go fast' parts on there to blow past an SRT-10, let alone SRT-6
