Great stangs, euro plates add a certain surrealism to it.

It's hardly a certainty, ar156. The article says he's been hired to research the feasibility of exporting cars to Europe, and no where is Mustang mentioned in the article. I'd say it was still a long shot.

a bit exclusivistic, aren't we, moc1976?
well, in my opinion Ford should attend all its customers all over the world according to the order dates... nevermind the fact that here in EU we have to wait an extra month...

Louie, congratulations on your purchase, and good taste in autos. Now, keep us posted on your experiences with the GT and the reactions from other drivers as you blow past them on the highways. Enjoy!

I have read that the EC will impose the same tariffs on the cars as they do for the Japanese cars (this is why most Jap cars are now manufactured in Europe)

If Ford import over here, expect to bend over and take it like a man......

Oh yeah, All you European guys.....we have a forum especially for us, get posting in there, pictures, shows, anything really!! here's the link

Thanks Larry!

I'm still waiting for the registration paper of my GT to be made, although the car has arrived at the dealer on April 18th... it's got something to do with the fact that I'm an expat here and I requested some kind of special registration, for which the Tax Office and the Customs both have to give their "permission".
On my last car I bought here (the Volvo S60), I had to wait 2 months for the paper, mainly because there were only 2 guys at the Customs Office who were dealing with tax-free cars, and they were both on sick leave for over a month.
Now I'm hoping this time it won't take more than 4 weeks for the whole paperwork, however I've heard rumors saying that the car will have to undergo a technical inspection before registration, as it's not an officially imported model

Anyway, as soon as I will have it I'll post some pictures. So far, I only have one which the dealer sent me, and here it is:

Ever since I saw "A Man and a Woman" many years ago, it has been my dream to have a Mustang in Europe. Next year I may get my chance as I have a tentative offer to teach in Poland next fall. Let's hope Ford follows through on this.

Hi Rien!

I live in The Hague, but I bought the car through a dealer in Oss. Here's the link to their website: http://www.us-ford.nl/ . There are several others in Holland, but these guys had the best offers.
