Jeff - Regarding Jason's request to post a picture of the new snap assembly that Ford is now using in the '06 Mustangs. Go ahead and post the picture if you don't mind. I would be happy to post it but I left my digital camera is at the office for the weekend and I won't be able to post the picture until next week. Thanks for your help!

People are having such mixed reviews on the magnet strap. I wonder if they went to a stronger/weaker magnet at some point?

That magnet is useless.

Does anyone have a picture of the new snap used on the 2006?

anyone notice any door panel marks from the seatlbelts when unbuckling. The seatbelt sort of whips back and bangs against the door panel because Ford has the seatbelt housing behind the seat instead on the seat.

Im noticing panel marks on both sets of doors. I now gently let go of the seat belt. I have a 68 GT and the gouging from that seatbelt can be seen all over the rocker panels.

You would think Ford could have gotten better at this after 28 years.

Do you think we can update to the snap version on 05's and early 06's ?

Are they similar ?

Sorry fellas. I got a little sidetracked with things. I am heading over to my car in the am (I keep it at my folks place, no garage at my home). I am putting on the embroidered headrest wraps and seatbelt wraps, and am taking pics. I'll take a pic of the seatbelt strap that is the new one. Sorry for the delay.

I have to remind my passengers to mind the seatbelt backlash every time they ride with me. Don't like that part of the design at all! I do however, have very strong magnets on my seats so those don't seem to be a problem.
