Richard, you have to hammer a fellow wave rider like that.........ouch. I have been surfing/bodyboarding for 20 years, love both well maybe I do lean toward bodyboarding more. So to your comment that sponging =driving a Chevy, my response 2005 Corvette is not that bad of a drive for a Chevy.

No problem here man, just having some fun as you were. Riding waves is a great way to wind down and enjoy what the ocean has to offer, clean fun. I have surfed Southern California some time back, lots of beautiful spots. Just took awhile to get used to the sea kelp.
East Coast actually has some good beach breaks, the Outer Banks of NC, which includes Cape Hatteras can get pretty heavy at times. We just are not blessed with the consistant surf that the Pacific offers you.
Again no problems over here and enjoy your GT.

I got mine at a bicycle store with road/mountain bikes and ordered the hang 2's from thule on line they rock!
PS, this east coaster will be hitting san diego some time this year! I feel like i am ready after the big hurricane surf warm up last year!
