Ring On Outside Edge of PF Brake Rotor?

Need help with what might be causing my passenger front brake rotor to create a slight ring around the outer edge (see attached). To the touch I really can’t feel any surface difference at the transition point.

I don’t think it’s a frozen caliper, car does not pull under braking. From what I can see the brake pad springs are in tack. I’m not a brake guy but I guess I’ll become one soon. Any thoughts as to what might cause this or what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

Also, as a side note I have been hunting for an intermittent vibration that occurs between 65-75 mph. I've had the tires balanced, road forced, rotated, blessed, cursed, etc. That helps a bit but not completely. As I mentioned it’s intermittent. I mean the car is a DD and travels the same path to/from work and there are days when it’s as if I'm driving on glass; other days noticeable shake in the steering wheel and it make the passenger side seat rattle. No noticeable brake pedal vibration while braking. Could a sticking pad or one not retracting all the way cause such a intermittent vibration…

Likely two diffent issues.

The "intermittent" shaking makes me think that maybe you have a warped rotor. I'd try getting them turned and brake pads changed. Also see if maybe the shaking occurs during light braking...I've had that happen before, and it was just a warped rotor.

pull your passenger brake pads off. you might have a chunk out of the outside pad. how many miles or factory pads still on the car. i replaced pads on my truck and the new pads hung down about 1/16" lower and squealed where they rubbed on rusty part of the rotor. you may have 2 problems pads and rotor.
