Just traded...

Just traded my 2010 Grabber Blue V6 for a 2007 Black GT. I had never driven a GT before, and I can only say wow, what a difference....

Yeah, my wife wasn't too thrilled with the trade.... until she drove it about 5 minutes ago. Also, just realized this morning that it had Flowmaster mufflers on it. All I can say once again is wow.

Didn't want a larger car payment, and I'm too impatient to save enough money to use as a down payment. Saving for too many other things anyway.

No, they gave me more for my 2010 than they sold me the 07 for. Had a little negative equity that I just rolled into the financing. The interest rate was so low and the total loan was low enough to where my payment went down and, for some reason, my insurance went down too.

Good trade! Can't beat the rumble of a V8 Mustang. How many miles on each car?

something about the sound of that V8, rowing thru the gears...the GT price difference is worth it for the sound alone

in my opinion (highly biased) youve got a better looking car now...I think the 05-09 body looks better than anything other than the 69, but the 69 was a falcon that gained a half ton underneath... love the looks of my 69, but it will likely never be as good a car as the S197. that 10-up interior is a beauty though

Yeah nothing can compete with the sound of a v8. My friend with an 10 v6, added dual exhuast to his. Now it is very loud surprisingly, but its very apparent its a v6. A lot more tingy, hollow, and imo, almost ricer sounding.

I like both body styles. There's certain angles for both styles that I like and others I don't. But the 05-09 definitely maintains a more classic look and I think 20 years from now, will be the more eloquent style.

Agree on all points. I have seen and heard several Sixers that had gone dual and they just sounded kind of "thin" and "Honda-ish" to me. I was seriously thinking of them, due to fuel economy, but my brother said "just go ahead and get a GT now and you won't have to do a lot of stuff right off the bat." Great advice from the guy who first introduced me to muscle cars in the 70s.

When I was looking for mine, I decided early that I didn't want anything newer than 2009 because of the body style change.
The front of the newer ones is OK, but the new narrower rear end is more ... (no offense to those that have them) ... girlish to me.

Now don't get me wrong, I would have LOVED to get another 5.0 like the newer ones have, but I am very happy with the 4.6 and its "mod-ability."

Yeah no doubt. As far as fuel economy, I get better fuel economy than his 10 v6. I don't know how but I do. So your not loosing out on that IMO. Not sure about the 2013s though. Every time he gets in my car, he regrets getting the v6. I like the interior of the 05-09 a lot better too. Though the 2013 gauges are awesome but I still think the 05-09 has a more classic look.
