I ordered a Windveil blue GT on 6-14 and as of today the ERL still says it is clean and unscheduled, so I'm going to the dealer tomorrow and change my order to a Redfire Calif. Sp. Gt with more options. I would think that this move won't make it appear any faster but I feel it can't hurt me either. Perhaps push it back another month but the other order hasn't gone anywhere either. I have a Priority 10 on my VOC. Is this a good or bad idea???

Get what you want. Until it's serialized, you can change anything. Like you already said, it might affect the schedule date, but I don't think anyone really knows how much. Might even get you scheduled earlier, if your options happen to fit in with what they are scheduling.

Biggest thing is you don't want to regret not getting something you really wanted, or getting something you didn't really want. After all, that's why we order our cars instead of taking one off the lot.

Personally my problem is I want one of every Mustang made It was a battle deciding on color, then I second-guessed that several times. Then when the GT/CS pics started hitting, I began wondering if I should go with that. In the end I let my order stand. Between the two you mention, my personal opinion is the redfire GT/CS will be much more striking, I would go with the change. It will delay your order, but what's another few weeks in the grand scheme of things.

 

I went in Saturday and gave my salemans a new list of options for my car.

Sounds awesome!!

I'm curious about the "85x stripe color", that's not listed in the order guide. Are they now offering different colors of CS stripes? So far the stripe color has been nothing but black, so it didn't have its own order code.

So its still only black but I didn't know if this ment to keep it or delete it? I saw a Black CS/GT at a dealer about 20 miles away. It was Black with a Black strip, I almost had to get on my hands and knees to see it.
But since my dealer has been so slow to get my car builted (ordered 6-14 and as of yesterday still not schedule) I told him to change the order. I hope he gets it in tody, I e-mailed him, visited Saturday with the code sheet in hand and all the changes circle, and I left him a phone message....So I hope he understands what I want.

Glad I'm not the only one out there changing their order. I saw an all black GT at a dealer Saturday with the Premium Trim Package and it was sharp. All black interior and exterior. So I called my dealer today and added the Premium Trim Package and changed my Satin Aluminum IP to Charcoal Aluminum. The aluminum pedal covers and wrapped & stitched dash board, door arm rests, and center console look AWESOME. For those of you waiting, don't feel bad. I ordered mine on 05/01/06 with a priority code of 10. STILL WAITING! Although I'm glad now since I updated my order. Here's what I'm waiting for:

Just got a e-mail from my dealer, they can't (?????) change my order because I went from a Deluxe to the Premium model. So I got to start all over again. Perhaps I might get it before I put it away for winter.

Yeah, you can't change order packages. You'll have to add leather seats and the Shaker 500 "by hand" if you want them.

 

Had to change models with the Calif. pkg order. but I still don't get the fact my old order was over 5 weeks old and still was never given a vin number. I think the dealer was getting a stock lot order and had a model that was close to the one I order and was just wanting me to take that one off his hands.
