Replacing underhood hoses & flexikool heater hose?
#61
I have just recently developed a whiste from this hose. I guess I am going to have to get it redone. You can move it around and make the whistle sound stop, but it comes back. Its not really crimped. Anyone else had that happen??

Happened to me. The first hose I put on there wasn't on firmly. I could wiggle it around and get the whistling. It was too short. I had extra hose left over, so I cut a new longer piece and put it on. Hasn't happened again.

I think I have a piece left over that I can do that too.

Someone earlier was wanting to know about -AN size stuff.
Here is a rule of thumb to get you in the ball park:
What you do is place the number 16 under the -AN size hose to convert to SAE.
Example: -6AN 6/16 which would be 3/8"
-4AN 4/16 which would be 1/4"
-8AN 8/16 which would be 1/2"

I've been plugging away at this while the car is stored for the winter. I installed my hoses, Canton overflow tank, Midwest radiator cover, Steeda shock tower covers, and UPR fuse box cover. Thought I'd post a few pics.....

OK, bringing back an old thread, but I searched around and could not find an answer to my question. My driver side radiator hose (does this have a better part description?) is rubbing against the JLT tube, and preventing the tube/air filter from completely going down. And therefore, rubbing against the hood. As you can see I replaced it with the Perform-o-flex from amstreetrod (#24). I looked on the site and they now have a "form-a-flex" radiator hose, but it is only in size 1 3/4. Any other flexible radiator hoses out there? I would like to keep the look, but I'm willing to go back to black if it allows the tube to go all the way down?? thanks
