I'm seeing here that there are orders being put in and a week or two
later there is a build date already. I got bumped for a 05 and my
dealer reordered my 06 on 6/23. Still no build date as of last week.
I asked him about his allocations, and this is no suprise, he said
Ford did not give them any numbers yet. I think his allocations
a very low but there is no way he will tell me that. Should I find a
bigger dealer and order through them or wait it out with my currernt
one? I have a priority 12 but that doesn't seem to matter very much.
Anyone know who I might give a shot at in the Baltimore, MD. area?
George

Having failed once and you're still showing nothing as of yet the second time around, well. . .

Did you ask him how many orders he has in front of yours?

If none or one or two, I would DEFINITELY look elsewhere.

I agree. I went from waiting an unknown amount of time to getting my stang this weekend due to checking around the state. Lady luck might smile on you too.

Thank you mossy ford!

I think I will order from a larger dealership too. I ordered mine 6/29 and I'm still C&U. I called my dealer today to ask about his allocations and I was given the run around, then he said I should call next Friday. :bang:

Unless he has other '05 orders that didn't get filled, I would insist on a priority 10. Also I would tell him that he should contact his regional rep to find out what his allocation is because he has an '05 order still waiting to be pulled.
Do all this. Give it a week. If nothing changes, go to another dealer... one WITH allocations.

You said you are a priority 12? That means there are 2 other orders ahead of you (Priority 10 and 11). There are plenty of dealers in the Balto?washington metro area. Check around.

That is not necessarily true. Each dealer decides what her is going to use as a priority code from 10-99. One dealer amy make his 1st order a 10 and then go up from there while another dealer may make his 1st number a 40 and go up from there. It makes no difference. You could be a 13 at one dealer and have several ahead of you but at the other dealer be the only order at 40 so you would be his lowest priority.

Also a dealer can assign the same priority to different orders. He can have 100 orders at a 10 priority, it makes no difference. Ford will build from the earliest order date depending on commodities.

I always wondered about having multiple orders with the same priority number. Thanks, Ed.

Same thing happened to me back in November. My order was skipped over so the dealership could have 2 stock V6 orders filled. Then, 4 MONTHS later, I finally got my car!

Finally good news. Went to my dealer Sat. for one last time and he said I'm scheduled for 8/29. He never called me on this so I thik he
knew early in the week. Mabe this is the first time anyone ever inquired about a DORA, Build dates, Priority number or anything like that. Anyway at least it looks like I might have my GT by the end of
Sept. Also there is a very good chance this is my last Ford I will ever
buy. I wonder how many future orders Ford lost with this mustang
mess over the last year?

jesus murphy i thought i had it bad...tomorrow is my 5 month anniversary from my orginal '05 order. January? that's totally messed up - what's the story?

anyways geo586, glad to hear you have a build date - you have a similar story to mine (wait time and smaller dealer etc) so I'm hoping to get scheduled soon too. no ERL for Canadian orders which sucks but I call the dealer every Friday to check anyways.

congrats
