Rattle from Trunk
Rattle from Trunk
Howdy, Im new to the fourm, looking for some answeres. Bought a 2007 gt with 15,000 miles on it, looks and runs flawless, Has rattle that sounds like its in the trunk. Tire and jack are tight, and secure. Its driving me nuts. Please help
In addition to the above...
Lower control arms. (This is a current one of mine... that'll be rectified soon. The front bushing on the right one is shot, and rattles.)
Latch/CHMSL cover (This was one of mine... I still haven't put it back on yet...
)
And while I'm at it, the sway bar linkage, as well as the panhard bar and brace, and the UCA and body mount.

my wifes 07 had a swaybar link break in the rear...weird it was barely welded together, one bushing end just popped off... just welded it back on, it was rattling.
check the glow in the dark trunk release handle on the trunklid too- it might hang against the trunklid if not stuck to the velcro (at least I think theres velcro on it- or maybe i added that?)

My '07 GT had a similar noise at about 15,000 miles too. I discovered it was just the spoiler being a bit loose. A quick tightening up and the noise never came back.
If it's more of a clunk, might be the UCA mount has a loosening bolt
