Borla S-Type rattle sound

Hi,

I bought a Borla S-type axleback for my 2014 Mustang 3.7 last July.

2 month ago the left side started to making a rattle sound, I made a video from the sound.
I researched the forum and found a lot of similar problems. Most times it came from the hangers contacting the exhaust. I had some time this weekend and checked everything:

- There is plenty of clearance on the hangers and everywhere around (see pictures attached)
- No loose heat shields
- I removed the clamp and repositioned it

All these measures were not successful, does anyone has an additional idea? I already contacted Borla but didn't get a response yet.

Thank you in advance.

have you tried to take off the problematic AB and see if you can make it rattle while disconnected from the exhaust? I'm wondering if something is broken inside.

Hi,

I did not yet but when I hammer against it I think in makes a metallic sound which the other side doesn't make.

I got no response from Borla so far

Anyone has a good contact email address? Otherwise I have to call them but the weeks are crazy during the day.

Quick update on this:

I wrote to the sales address of Borla and got an answer after 1 week.

After sending them my original receipt, they sent me a brand new set of Axle backs and I could take time to put them on and then let them know when they can pick up the old ones.

Everything is good so far, no rattle sound so lets hope that this is still the case next year.

Very happy with the customer service!
