Premier Trim Package Confusion...

I think some here were doubtful that the "stitched instrument panel brow" that comes with the '07 Premier Trim Package was leather.

I was just surfing around on Ford's Mustang micro-site, and came across the following statement:

"Sport leather-trimmed buckets, bright and satin aluminum accents, leather-stitched instrument panel brow, and more — make your Mustang interior really stand out. Available for V6 Premium, GT Deluxe and Premium."
So for those of you with the Premier Trim Package, you might want to give your dash the old nose test, cause according to Ford, it is indeed leather. So, it's clearly the same package that is available on the GT500 trickling down.

Either way >>

I saw the Premier Trim Package recently and I really liked it. I adds a nice touch to the interior. It's funny that before I saw it I never really thought that the ineterior needed much, but it is a must have if I buy an 07 or later.

Then again, it says "leather-STITCHED instrument panel brow" so maybe only the stitching is leather?

It's just bad semantics. What they mean is leather AND stitched (not vinyl with "leather thread" - cause they wouldn't use leather for the stitching material). Nor would they go to the expense of sourcing a whole new dash material for the GT, when they could simply use what's already being manufactured for the GT500, and just offer it on GTs.

Well, I'm not sure if it is leather or not. My entire dash has to be replace due to a hump in the middle of the dash(pad) at the center near the windshield. This is not a pad, it is molded to the dash frame, bummer as far as I'm concerned, had I noticed it prior to delivery I would have refused the car.

The dash pad looks and feels like leather to me. The console cover and door panel elbow rests seem more like vinyl. I'm not putting any type of leather or vinyl protectant on anything until I see the description in writing in the printed '07 brochures. It does all look and feel nice though, and the the upgraded shifter and bezel are a nice touch too - definitely worth the $$$ in my opinion.

"...leather-stitched instrument panel brow."

I think that's pretty self-explanatory. They probably should have written it like this, though, to avoid confusion: "...leather/stitched instrument panel brow."

Moreover, we know the Premium upgrade in the Shelby is leather, and Ford said a long time ago that they were going to make that Premium kit from the Shelby available on the GT as well.
