OR they are slowing down the rate in which they are sold..get people worried and then JACK UP THE PRICE the next time they release them on their site/ebay. I'm glad I ordered 4 pairs

Not likely. If they do appear on eBay, I would bet they are fake and made in some sweat shop overseas. Last I heard BOI had some left, but he may have sold out. For now, those that got them have a pretty rare item. Not bad for $49 plus shipping. Really makes you wonder why people price shop reputable companies like BuyFordRacing trying to get it cheaper elsewhere. While your were wasting time price shopping, you may have missed this great deal. I wonder how much you would have paid if some other company got their hands on these exclusive item in limited quantities?

I don't think there are artisans carving these out of genuine American plastic. Its from a simple mold, plated plastic and silkscreened, it probably costs about $1 to make it as it is.

DHL just delivered my PBF emblems. I have been lusting after these since seeing them on a Shelby GT at the Detroit Auto Show.
I want to Thank "explorerking" and everyone who sent me a PM for the heads up. Without the folks on the Mustang Source Forum I never would have found these emblems on ebay.
I have dealt with buyfordracing in the past each transaction like this one has been super.

I typically use 10 day auctions for really hot parts (BMW euro market) to give folks the opportunity to really salivate and lose sleep. I always sell no reserve, but I put a pretty beefy BIN price in to see if there's anyone who absolutely must have it. My hit rate with BINs is about 45%.

As an aside, we've proven that there's definitely a demand for these things since we scarfed them all up inside of an hour.

has anyone else called their parts dept about these? I'm just curious, cause what if your ShelbyGT gets side-swiped - obviously you'd want it the way it was....so they'd have to give you a replacement emblem....

mmmmm

When commodities are truely restricted, you can get them if you have proof of ownership - i.e. you would need the registration or something similar with a Shelby VIN. So, yes you can get parts, but not without backup. At least that's the way it's SUPPOSED to work.

Must have been a great price. I've seen tons of them roll over for weeks at a time with no bites. Were you at MSRP or at least really close?
