This emblem is back after being off the market for years. Authorized by Carroll Shelby and approved by Ford. The base is beautifully polished chrome and the brushed aluminum insert is finished with a luster that will make this emblem stand out. Features 3M adhesive tape for easy mounting anywhere.

so you're saying to wait 30 years for Shelby to authorize the release of the new PBF emblems?

 

Wow after seeing how badly people want these things I'd be worried about somebody ripping them of my car. I don't understand the craze over these emblems as they're not all that great looking IMO. With that said I wish I had 10 of them to sell on ebay.

 

I got a pair, haven't installed them yet because I plan on putting them on the valve covers once I get them powder-coated. Won't have to worry about people stealling them in parking lots.

 

Well you obviously missed the point the first time. My point was that it's rediculous to pay that price for any emblem, that's my personal opinion. I can buy just about any emblem I want for around 12 bucks, just what makes these so special? I'm just not a fan of them, period.

With that said, good on ya for making some cash on these

 

Yup, seen both of them in person now, hands down on the SD ones, very classy The SGT ones look like every single other emblem Ford has now. And its multi finish in actual metal too...Looks very high end.

 

I like the SD ones too but in a different way then the SGT style. I like the way the SGT style looks on the outside fender on my car. I am thinking of doing a pair of the SD ones on the cam covers because they are more flat compared to the SGT ones.

 

Oh I understood what you meant clearly ... what I meant was that I'm just glad that I could pick up those same $12.00 emblems for 49.00 INSTEAD of $200.. would *I* personally pay that much for these - NO ..but I'm just happy I got mine at the price I did when I did. (and some cash in the pocket)

 

Well I Decided I Will Not Pay 200.00 Plus For A Set Of Emblems So I Came Up With Another Idea See If You Like It. They Came Off A 2007 Explorer Sport Trac V 8 Limited, At 16.00 Each They Are Cheap And They Cover The Holes.

I have had lots of different emblems on the side of my car trying to find that perfect emblem.

1. 4.6 High Performance
2. Pony Package running pony
3. Shelby snake
4. Late model running pony
5. Scott Drake 'Powered By Ford'
6. Currently - Shelby GT 'Powered By Ford'

And after all of that I'm about ready to go back the the late model pony! I think it just looks the best on the car. If I didn't have rocker stripes with GT on them I would just leave the GT emblem on. JMO~

 

Sounds like the next step is to shave them!

 

If it didn't cost so much, I would.

 

I like the 4.6L High performance, the tribar pony with the "4.6L" at the top and the "Powered by Ford" one.

I like those too, its from the explorer/sport trac. Has a nice little curve to the profile too.
