i think you and I have bad luck! My min grey got hit and ran in a parkin lot! all the person did was scrape the paint off! I was pissed! NO NOTE OR ANYTHING! The worst part was it was on the Air Force Base! And no one fessed up! now i have to pay for it! Good luck with your car, im real sorry.

 

I had the same thing happen to me. The other guy's insurance paid for it, $605 for new cover, paint and install at the dealer. Also, on my Torch Red, the factory color code did not match my paint well. Had to add more yellow to get it right. Picking up a take-off from another car may or may not match up that well.

I had them do the color match, paint the part and then I brought the car in just for the install. That way they only had it for an afternoon. Good luck.

Somthing similar almost happen to me today. A kid who lives down the street thought it would be cute to cut in front of me at a local traffic light. I did not see him until the last minute and hit the brakes hard and steered away from his SUV just barly missing it. I did not even realize that he lived down the street from me and do not really know him.

I followed him to his house and told him that cutting in front of peple like that was not a good idea and that He nearly hit my car doing somthing stupid.... He and his wife/girlfriend appoligized, but I doubt the appology was sincere because they were laughing about it in the car shortly after he nearly hit me...

I guess I am very lucks, first my car survived and second, if he had hit my car doing somthing so stupid, I would most likely be in jail at this moment. I really do not think the kid knows how close he came to seriour injury today....

 

Yes, that stinks, but it could be worse.
