This pissed me off today.
I went to friends video store to just visit.
Two of their "friends" where there getting a few movies.
While they where leaving she gas'ed it, I think showing off, and hit my car.
She said her foot slipped off the break. Bull @%%^
But I had the police come out to get a accedent report.
I'll have to get an estimate tomorrow.
Here's a pic. Not to bad but still pisses me off that she has not
even had her first oil change.
Do not bypass the filters, thank you....

It always seems to work that way......................You try to take care of your stuff and some idiot comes along and messes it up. I have been driveing for 22 + years and every mark on any of my vehicles has been caused by someone else's carelessness.
That'll rub right out!

Hope everything works out ok for you

That stinks bigtime! Sorry to see that. Good luck with the repairs.

My firends wife and I was outside watching her backup.
And She said, "She's going to run into your car."
I replyed, "She better not!" Hear bang and car shake.
I begin my cussing. (we get the idea)
Also as I went by her window to look at my poor car. I had a strong
urge to punch threw her window. But keep myself from hurting my hand.
Not a big deal... get some estimates from local dealers and have the adjuster give you an estimate. Get a take-off rear bumper cover and install it yourself. Take whats left over and put a K&N FIPK on your Stang.

May see about rolling in damage cost into a new body kit. Probley
not thought. I looked up the parts cost online and it about $400 dollors.
Then paint and labor not sure. Might push a grand. I hope it will not take
to long.
I guess the cops didn't site the B&$@# for the "accident"....that stinks.
My rear bumper took a pretty good hit a while back, had to replace it. For parts and labor it was around $750 (and of course the 90 bucks for a rental car). Just be sure that when you get the new bumper that the body shop paints it OFF the car. Good Luck!

Lance,
Did the police give her a ticket? You said there were a few witnesses on the scene, seems like she should have gotten one for at least careless driving. Does she have insurance? If she received the ticket for careless driving, her insurance should cover the cost to repair the bumper. If you are wanting to upgrade your car in any way -- you could use the money towards what you are wanting to do.
Accidents are just that, accidents, but when it happens because of someone's foolishness, it just aint right...... :bang:
Wet roads, deer, snow, car problems... sure, that is what accidents are all about, but cell phones, showing off and just being idiotic is frustrating! 'Specially when it leaves YOUR car with the injuries

Good luck to you~
Lance,
Ok, now that this happened. Your worst fear of having something or someone hit her. It is not too bad, she can be fixed. Could have been much worse. Lets just say, carmma will be in your best favor now. At least I hope so.
It's too bad though. The biggest bite is not having her for a few days when they fix her. That is hard to deal with. But you will be fine. She will be good as new. Keep your head up and smile knowing that.

.With a new car (or any motorcycle ) if I'm outside of a store and the car is nearby I've been known to stand by it just to make certain something like this doesn't happen. People tend to drive more carefully out of a parking spot if there's a chance of hitting someone. But I always leave an out if that isn't the case.
Crap like this sometimes happens. Be glad it isn't worse and that the car is still driveable while you wait to set up the repairs.

Completely understandable. Nice job on keeping your cool... or maybe just restraining yourself. Just goes to further anger me the way some people have zero respect for other people's property. The good news is that if it's just your bumper, it's just stuff that can be taken off, replaced, and put back on... better that removing a dent from your quarter panel, etc. Good luck w/ your repair.

But to all the rest....
Aye, I'm cool about it now. It will all be fixed.
Sorry about the other stuff admin.
It's going to be $1040 to fix the damage. Good thing no metal damage.
Going to the have the damage apprased on Tuesday. By insurance adjuster.
Then going into shop for few days and she'll be good as new.
I'm just hoping to have them pay little extra. Pay a couple of
months off early.
man.. you could get that rear valance from http://crashparts.cascocompany.net/ for like 150 bucks. easily replace it yourself and use the 800 left over to buy some new toys. I mean.. fromt he picture it looks like just the rear valance.... if thats the case they are EASY to replace in your garage and dont cost much from Casco. I talked to him a few days ago and he said he had take off parts for EVERY color.. so it will be factory painted and everything.... something to think about.....
