Physical Body Differences Between V6 and GT
I would like to know if there are any physical differences in body style of the 2 mustangs, with the exception of wheels, the fog lights, and the rear bumper with the twin exhaust. For some reason the GT always looks beefier than the V6 and i cant figure out why.

Look at the front of the cars below the bumper.
V6 smiles
GT Growls

The rear bumper on the GT hides more of the undercarriage than does the V-6, because of the lower valance being a little longer in the tooth.
This is one of the things I noticed right away before I bought my GT, and that was that the gas tank and a few more underside parts showed more on the V-6.

darn, i didnt notice the front bumper there with the smile on it. That changes everything, almost like its not worth it to buy a V6 :bang:
But the insurance on the GT!!

I think of it this way... One of the coolest mustangs in history "smiled". It was boss then... it's boss now.
Both cars look great. Nothing wrong with either... just different.

Th rear fascia can't hide the gas tank. It's not back there. You sit on the tank.
Where the gas tank is located the GT and V6 are the same other than the color.

Wife and I noticed this during our eastern Wisconsin Mustang trek. It is especially noticable on light colored cars.
Major differences:
Front bumber on V-6 is cleaner and is more traditional looking. GT has a deeper air dam and looks more modern.
Satin black rocker skirts on the V-6 and body color on GT. On a light car, this makes the GT look bulkier than a V-6. If I was getting a light colored GT, I would swap the black skirts in for the painted ones. Interestingly enough, Ford did the same thing on the GT-500 show car for the same reason.
Rear bumper cover is also 2 inches deeper than the V-6. I would think it causes more drag. Again, this is different on the GT-500 prototype and painted satin black as well.
