People have always paid over MSRP at the start for "sporty" cars. At least the mustang hasn’t depreciated as fast as some others. Think of those poor guys who paid over MSRP for a 2004 GTO.

I don't know where in SoCal you are but you can try Cerritos Ford because they're the only Dealership in town (that I'm aware of ) that will sell for less than MSRP without placing an order. I purchased from them and was able to get under sticker but of course they raped me on the trade-in.... ahh well... win some lose some.. thing is.. I would do it again in a heartbeat..
