Never even sat in one till it came in and I paid for it. Then I sat in it, fired it up and drove it off the lot to the painters. The agony was waiting the 12 days for him to finish it before I could drive it again.

 

I never test drove and was a little geeked because I wasn't sure if I would actually like it or not. The car is amazing and reading everyone elses experiences and I took the dive of a cliff.

This car fortunately turned out to be perfect.

 

I test drove a GT and ordered one immediately after I shut the drivers door.

 

I rented an '05 V6 from Hertz for a week. I used it to go back and forth to work as I plan to use mine as a daily driver and then took it for a long trip over the 1 weekend we had it. My wife got to drive it also.

 

I ordered a stick shift, but at the time there was only one GT on the lot and it was an auto. I took it out anyway for a spin. Probably made the wait more difficult since I knew what was coming.

 

I guess you could say i took a test drive. It was right after ordering mine (in early Feb), i was sitting in a GT on the show room floor checking it out. They were moving cars around, and the one of the guys tossed me the keys and asked me to move it back 10'. Thats all it took, just the sound of it had me hooked.

Hubby asked me if I was going to test drive it before I signed papers, I said NO. IT's the car I wanted no matter what! (Birthday present from him to me -- birthday wish for anything I wanted). The only driving I did was they let me pull it out of the cleaning bay around to the front. Never regretted decision to not test-drive it first.

 

I drove one at the Ford Innovation Drive at the Kentucky Speedway (about an hour from Cincinnati). I fell in love there, decided to sell my Acura and order a real sports car : )

 

it seems like its about 50/50 for those of you stang owners out there..i have never driven a mustang in my life!!thanks to you guys i know i won't be dissappointed

 

I got to test drive a GT back in mid October, but that was after I had already ordered one from them. They hadn't gotten anything on my order except a VIN and it was already January, so I dumped them and found mine somewhere else. So I guess I kind of got a test drive. And just for everybodies' info my original car didn't come in til March 23rd and I ordered Oct. 18th. For shame!

 

Test drove a V6 then ordered a GT. Drove a friends GT before mine came in though.
