ordering a 2006 v6
#1
Planning to order a 2005 (not 2006) v6 redfire met. with red leather interior. Should I have any trouble getting one? Sounds like the GT's are tough to get, but what about the v6's

Your choice of course but there are plenty of V6s on dealer lots. With a little looking you should be able to find the exact car you want. Why put yourself through all the waiting? In any case, welcome. You will love this car!

I had to order my V6. I couldn't find my options with IUP on any lot. So far so good. Ordered 2/19 (originally tried to order 12/19/04, couldn't because of IUP) got pulled 3/3. Paying Dealer Invoice.

Red ICAP on Redfire with 5 manual in a V6 is a beautiful set-up. My dealer had a GT in that combo that I just loved. I wonder why you've elected for the V6 Deluxe rather than a Premium? Your particular color choice and option group sounds pretty unique - I'd be surprised if a dealer ordered one exactly like it on spec.

Isn't the Premium trim required for some options on the car??
Anywho, I was told when I ordered my V6 that they aren't any problem to get just the wait to get them built is long. But I wouldn't wait any later then the end of March. I think you'll be pushing for a build date at nearly the end of the 05 MY production run ordering by April.
I ordered 3/8 and look to have an 8 to 15 week wait ahead putting me somewhere between early May to the middle of June. Wait 2 or 4 more weeks and your looking at a July date which is right at the end of 05 production.
