ordered 4-19-05 anyone think i will get it as an 05?havent seen many people on here who ordered recently

 

One of my friends ordered a Sonic Blue one in Feb. and still hadn't heard any info on when it would show up, so she went looking around for one on a lot. She went yesterday to Michigan and picked up a silver GT with the standard rims and is now a happy Mustang owner. Try looking around for one that you like, you'll be glad you did.

Robot says “still clean and un bla bla bla.� Yet some get through, I know of one “Lucky Green Gt� ordered 2 days before your order that is home already.

I ordered at the end of March and am still clean and unscheduled. Won't be surprised if I wind up with an 06. I told myself when I ordered that I wouldn't see a car before August (at the earliest) but it gets harder every day. My hat is off to those of you that waited 4 to 5 months. That's just torture.

 

yup....i think i am at over 110 days....luckily my wedding and honeymoon will make 117 - 130 bearable

Well, I think it is a matter of how many allocations your dealer has left.

I ordered the last day of Feb.

Still waiting to see if mine goes through. My dealer is supposed to have at least two allocations left, so I should still get my car - although it will be a very late 05. Maybe early July delivery?

I hear that the order bank will be closed sometime in May for the build out of the remaining 05s.

Anything ordered after that will be an 06.

 

I ordered a GT Deluxe 03/14/05; status is Clean and Unscheduled. What a suprise. I read somewhere at this site that if my order remains C & U for more than 8 weeks, I should look elsewhere. Is this true? I have not asked my dealer for the DORA.

 

I ordered only about a week before you and I fully expect to get mine as an 05 model. I know the order went through because the ERL recognizes it even though it still is Clean and Unscheduled. It's like red454 said, it's all about dealer allocations. If you are the only order in line or the first in line and your dealer has allocations then I think you will get it, but if you have a priority on your VOC of like 13 or more then it's probably doubtful. As far as finding one on a lot, it's possible, although I've looked all over the place for one matching my order and haven't been able to exactly find one. Some were close but I decided that if I was going to spend this much money that I was going to get exactly what I wanted and not just have to settle on any of the options. That's just my $0.02 though, there is always a possibility you won't get it but I really think it just depends on your dealer.

 

I'm in the exact same boat. Ordered 3rd week in March, except I told myself I'd get the car in June. I had to sell my last car to pay for the Stang, and now I'm carless and heartbroken.

It's WAY harder then I thought it'd be. I've now received word that my car order may be one of the ones flipped to 06. My dealer does have allocation, and I'm first in line. I don't get the process fully, but I think it's whether the regional rep has enough cars to give out to all the dealers, you know? Living in a cliamate when summer-car use ends in October, an 06 in September will stink.

btw, we've done a search and there are no cars anywhere that are the specs I ordered.

I ordered my car on 3-14 and it arrived at the dealer around 4/11. I actually got tired of waiting around week 2 and ended up buying almost the same car as what I ordered from a lot

 

the dealer i ordered from was one of the few dealers that ford sent a ford gt for there excellent service and they sold it so maybe that will help

 

You need to ask them point blank what their allocation is and how many orders are in front of you. That will give you an idea. I ordered mine around 1/20 and got it on 4/20. You're a little late in the game though.
