Hello everyone, this is my first post and notice that I ordered my
Stang on 2/19/05. (black, black leather seats with charcoal interior, 5-speed, bullets, active anti-theft, spoiler, interior upgrade package, standard radio)

I ordered on X-plan so the total price of the car came to slightly above base MSRP for the Deluxe model. The manager ordered my car and the whole process took 13 minutes. He told me to expect the car in about 2 - 2.5 months. That is fine with me. It will provide me with additional time to purchase the various upgrades that I will have installed when the car arrives at the dealership. Specifically, new 18” wheels, tires, springs and exhaust. A new stereo system will follow shortly thereafter.

I went to four local Ford dealerships before ordering and all except the one I ordered from were less than stellar in terms of their “policies” and sales-force.

This site is a gold mine of information. Everyone is doing a tremendous service for each other through promoting valuable knowledge for all to absorb.

Your options look good. X plan is fine, as long as you checked to make sure that’s the price that Ford generated. But, you timed the process? I can just see you walking in with a stopwatch "GO!" Anyway, the wait is nothing. It will be over soon and you’ll forget you ever waited.

Altoid,

You stated that X-plan is fine as long as I checked to make sure of the price that Ford generated. After they ordered it, I received a printout of the complete cost breakdown. We both signed it. Was this good enough?

I see that you have a Bassani axle back. That is what I want as well. That and the X-pipe. Did you purchase it from Ninosport?

Welcome Mark, with the long production delays I am waiting for an 06, so your not alone with your long wait. I agree that this site is great and helps much as we wait.

markski74: If they printed it straight out, and there weren't any add-ons that aren’t in the invoice this website provides, you're good to go. As for the Bassani's,I think I misrepresented myself. They are currently sitting in a box in my house. I’m going to put them on soon, and yes I bought them from Nino. I live in California, so Bassani shipped them straight to me. I think I ordered on a Monday and got them on a Wednesday. Amazingly fast, great price, I have yet to open them but still I can’t say enough good things about Nino. I can’t wait to get them on in a week or two. As for axle backs vs Xpipes, my choice was simple, Xpipes don’t pass emissions here, and I’m not switching them out every year to pass, that’s a lot of work that I don’t have time for.

hey Ryan, does Bassani not have an X-pipe with cats for this year yet? I thought that on previous years, they offered an x-pipe with hi-flow cats. Would that not pass emissions?
