Hello all...

Be it as it may, this is my first time posting a topic and I hope it's ok, but you all seem to be the authority, so i'm turning to you all.

I, a US army soldier was in Iraq, when I ordered a white gt, premium, with 17" painted alum, IUP, wheel locking kit, and active anti. How, did I do this, I got a computer hooked to the internet and wrote an E-mail to a deleaership owner (friend) and the car was ordered on 19 Oct 04 as priority 10.

I while in Iraq, honestly would dream about this car every night!!!!! upon my retun to the states for surgery at Walter Reed Medical Center, on 22 Dec 04. I called the dealership to ask about any news and he said they havnt hear anything??

Now I read about this delay and that delay, and alotments and this and that. I called FORD with my order number and dealer number, they said that they could not get the vin till all the pieces are compiled??? Its been almost 4 months??? I really do not understand?

Do anyof you have a sujestion??? the wait here is killing me more than gettiong wounded could have...

thank you all

Daniel,
Welcome back! I must say that I've been in the same boat you have. I've been deployed most of the year but finally rolled to shore duty. (Navy) Mines been on order since the begining of November and the wait for most is pretty long and hard. Just talk with the dealership and see what they know. Did ya try calling "THE NUMBER" and see what your actual status is? Be patient, that's all I can tell you. It will come. Welcome back again and thanks!

just because you are ap riority 10 doesnt mean it will get built right away. it depends on the dealer you bought from. a priority 10 at one dealer may be higher than a priority 30 at another. it depends on the size of the dealer an the amount of cars that the dealer sells throughout the year and how many muutangs they were allocated for the year. i was a priority 20 and my friend was a 10 n we both ordered the same car cept for color from 2 different dealerships and both deleted the 18g for the 18r. mine has a vin, build date and all that and hes still clean and unscheduled.

If it was really ordered on 10/19/04 and had a priority of 10, then it should have been built by now. There wasn't a IUP problem back then I don't think. Check the old treads here to comfirm. This dealer must have been sliding other orders ahead of yours while you were gone, and now that you are about to come home, they are giving you a BS story. Just my opinion mind you, but something sounds fishy to me.
Welcome back Daniel Thank you for your service :flag2:

Oh yes there was an IUP issue then. It just didn't affect the GT as much as the V6. I ordered 9/22 & went into Ford's Expodite Order System. There it sat until the week before xmas. It was scheduled to built last week with an dealership ETA of 1/23 or 1/30. Anyway.

Daniel welcome back. Just hang in there. Keep waiting. And keep bugging them. I used to call my dealer at least once a week & sometimes more. Then I finally got a order number & then a vin so I have been calling MI every couple of days. So my advice is to keep your patience & keep poking the dealership to stay on top of it. Good luck & I hope it gets built & get here soon for you.

God Bless Our Troops.

Welcome back Daniel and God bless. I also ordered mine on 10/19 and was built first week of December. There has certainly been a big disrepancy between order date and delivery on this forum. That being said, you could get the good news any day and hope that is the case. If this drags on too long, I think the words local newpaper and good publicity for Ford could be in order.
