We used to get our factory orders shipped to NJ within 2-3 months. The E-250 came out of Lorraine OH (much closer to NJ than Flat Rock, MI) took 2 months to the day (from order date to sale date) and the Crown Vic came out of STAP but it took about 2.5 months. The E-150 was also coming from Lorraine and took about 2 months. Check to make sure your car's build date falls between the order date and delivery date. If it is too close to the order date or before the order date, then you got a car that was shipped off another dealership lot or off the manufacturing lots (GM does this for all factory orders). If you ordered using A/X/Z plan, then your last name should be on the window sticker below the list of options.

 

The build date was week of Oct 9 according to ERL. My order number was attached to my car in the system. My buddy saw them unloading my car, along with several others, from the transport truck the morning it was delivered. Ford Customer Service told me that morning that the car was to be delivered Oct 29 so you can imagine my surprise when it arrived. I did not order under any Ford plan so my name is not on the sticker. The car most definitely did not come from another dealer based on my tracking it through the system. I just got lucky...........

Wow, that's 1 week from Flat Rock to NJ. From what I have seen, even those that live within 1 hour from Flat Rock get their Stangs about 1 month after the build date.

Which dealership did you order it through and what was the priority number?

 

Sea Breeze Ford in Wall Twp, NJ. The car was assigned a 10 priority by the dealership. They gave me a good deal and I was impressed by their efforts to get my business.
