Congrats on the order! I just ordered a GT yesterday as well. Isn't it a relief to get the order out of the way? Now we're just in for a 6-12 week wait...

Ordered my G.O. on Aug 1 - if I have to wait 12 weeks I'm gonna turn into a quivering mass of jelly...

 

Just found out today that my GT is due 8/23 to the dealership. I placed the original order on 6/24, made a change on 7/22 and received a VIN on 7/26.

8 weeks from order to ETA... not bad, IF it is true (we need a crossed fingers smilie).

The dealership I talked to today about a 06 legend lime 5 speed manual told me if I wanted the car they have said I would have to pay sticker price for it.
because of the discontinued color. The search goes on.
I supose you guys could not find one in dealer stock that you liked or did you get a better price from ordering it?

 

Personally, I liked the auxilliary radio plug-in offered in the '07. The change that I mentioned was adding Sirius as well. Aside from that, I had a list of wants and just could not find them in an '06. I also ordered my '98 v6 that I am currently driving.

Some people may call it being picky, but if I am spending the money to buy new, I want what I want. If I want to compromise, I'll look for a good used vehicle with low mileage and save the money. If you are the type that has to have the car NOW, buy the best you can find on a lot or through a search of inventories. It is all a tradeoff to some degree.

 

Have you tried forddirect.com? You can search local inventories without having to drive all over the place.

That's a drag that they wouldn't deal on an 06. It's getting really tough to find 06's with manual trannys on the lots. There is a 1500 cashback incentive on 06's, so keep that in mind!
