Order up!

After a couple of weeks of looking, I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered a '07 Grabber Orange GT. Premium, 5-speed transmission, IUP, PTP, GT Appearance, 18" fanblades and spoiler delete.

A new car wasn't even in the works until a couple of weeks ago. I had been searching for a while for a Fox-body, but never could find one in good enough condition. Then the new car bug bit....

It's gonna be a long wait for delivery.......

Nice deal!

One thing I gotta mention though, what's with everyone with the spoiler delete???

Does anyone get their stang with the spoiler?

Many of us ordered spoiler delete so we could install a ducktail spoiler, but some people just like the cleaner look of having no spoiler on it at all.

Cobra, congrats on the order! Sounds like a nice setup. I used to see Cyclone Spoilers on the road every once in a while, but it's been ages since I've seen one!

I like the look without the spoiler, but I may at some point put a ducktail on it. It'll be down the road sometime.

I love the look of spoiler delete. Anyone who wants a windveil blue spoilered trucklid in exchange for a non-spoilered, let's trade!

the factory spoiler was a design oversight, they put all this work into the body and the spoiler desgin just looked like it was a hey lets put a spoiler on it without much thought. A good example of a properly designed retro spoiler is the parnelli jones boss, although not much different it is noticable that it fits the car better. And i won't even get started on the hideous new v6 spoiler. it looks like a rice wing someone left in the dryer too long and it shrank. I am a graphic designer annd would love 5 minutes with the guy who designed that turkey. FORD PLEASE DESIGN A FACTORY DUCKTAIL!!! or at least get an after market company to do it for you....(GT500 not included)

Agreed. However, I've yet to see a better option than a spoilerless trunklid. Every design- Parnelli, stock, ducktail, ect.- some look okay but none improve on a clean spoiler delete in my opinion. On a sidenote, most people would disagree with me but the spoiler I 'dislike the least' is the new V6 spoiler. Not great but definately better than the GT offering.

They said 6 weeks which would be the last week of September. I've been curious if that's been the norm or if it's been longer?

Six weeks is the normal wait time. You can track its progress by calling the ERL. Just go to search and type in ERL number and look for the post titled ERL number for instructions plus it is automated so you don't need to give you salesmans name. Orderd mine June 29 erl say will be here the week of the Aug. 22nd

How do you track via ERL?

I think it just looks way too plain without the spoiler. Ducktail might be better than stock, but I think the stock one is better than nothing. It just looks like something's missing back there without a spoiler.

Spoiler delete is the same look as the '65 & '66 Mustang fastbacks looked, very clean. I have a ducktail, as I wanted to do a '67 GT350 look.
