i emailed my dealer to see if i could get the ordernumber of the car, is it a letter followed by 3 numbers or is that something else

 

Depends on the dealer, but mine is letter followed by 3 numbers.

 

mine is 4 numbers....the body type is a letter followed by 2 numbers

 

now if i have this number, how do i find out the dealer number and what the phone number is :scratch:

 

The dealer number is on the VOC or DORA.

 

i didnt get any of that yet, its a family dealership im dealing with. I went to look at one one weekend, told him exactly what i wanted, and was going to call on monday to confirm if i wanted it or not. I called on monday, he confirmed all my options, put in the order, and he just emailed me the order number. Should i ask him to fax over the paperwork?

 

Definitely. That's the only way to be completely sure that he ordered it and ordered it right!

 

Get the hardcopy. Best way to get the information and protect yourself as well.

BTW, you want the DORA, not just the order confirmation. Order confirmation only means it is confirmed in the dealer's computer, not confirmed by Ford.
