I ordered my 2005 Yellow GT on Nov 18th. I am curious for all of you what your order number is, and when you got a VIN, build date and delievery.

Reason i ask was my salesman told me Ford was scheduling the High 9500's right now and that my car should be scheduled soon. I am looking for help from all of you to get a ball park on when to expect mine.

My order number is 9600.

 

I think that is specific to your dealership.

Edit: For what it's worth, ordered 11/3, order # 1218.

 

I think holderca1 is right. I ordered 12/3 and have a much lower order #.

 

Ordered GT on 10/26 Order # 8219

 

Ordered my GT 11/10 with IUP and spoiler - I am "assuming" that since these supply problems have been remedied as of December - should be getting build date for the first part of January but.....who knows???

 

I ordered 10/18 and my order# was 1111. But I just got my VIN last Friday.

deposit left 11/26/04
dealer submitted order to Ford 12/2/04. My "Order confirmation sheet" says order # 0002. I believe holderca1 is right; it's dealer specific.
Ford c/s says they see my order from my dealer and my car is in "clean/unscheduled" but I don't have a DORA. So who knows, I suspect I'll see the car in March which is fine.

 

Can the CS folks track the order without a VIN?

 

The order number I used above is what you find on the DORA, there is also a order number found on your Order confirmation sheet that you receive from your dealer, this number is dealer specific mine was 0001. I could be wrong, but that is how I understand it.

They could be pulling my chain as I'd never know but since I don't have a vin they asked me for my dealer code, car body code, and the order # on the confirm order sheet. From that they say they were able to see the order in the system that was submitted from my dealer and that it is awaiting a vin assignment. If the order # Rosco is referring to is the one on the DORA, as mentioned by Beachboy, then I'm sorry Rosco I don't have that so I guess my earlier post wasn't too helpful.

Are you guys saying that with the DORA you can call Ford C/S and all the information they need is on there to track your order???

I've read on here the DORA only has a partial vin? I think if you call Ford c/s and inform them you have your DORA and would like to check status they should be able to at least let you know if your car was given a vin yet or where it is in general. Once you have a vin then I think you can get detailed info on build date etc... That's how I understand it.. please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

On two identical cars, the first half of the vin's will also be identical(so that part can be given to you as soon as you order), it's the last part with the sequence number that is different.

Screaming Yellow with factory (dealer stripes)
140A Package
18G Interior upgade
14A Active Anti-Theft
64D 17" brt machined wheels
Shaker 500

Dec 10th Week 6 Vehicle Order Confirmation order # 5386 called the 800 # (Thanks) As of Dec 09 my car has been serialized and is awaiting Schedule date and ETA.

Dec 13th Called 800# Recording stated build the week of Jan 10th

Dec 15th Dealer called and gave me my complete VIN #

Always owned Fords first time for a muscle car first time I have ordered a car so one thing I have learned in 43 years is patients the car will come.

where on the DORA is your order number and on the automatedsystem i cant get it to recognize my voice properly. is there anyone else i can call to find out. my dealer is useless but close to home lol

 

I believe the oder number is on your DORA. I never asked for my DORA, cannot belive I never did but I didn't, very unlike me since I love to have all info. I can get my hands on. Regardless I just called my dealer and asked them to give me my order number, they did and I got all the info I needed from FORD, until I got my complete VIN #. I actually ONLY used the order number in all my info questions concerning my car, it was easier to use than reciting that long VIN number. Hope this helps.
