Welcome to the forum
You are going to love your new car, awesome choice in colour by the way.....

Other than the shaker and mine being Sonic Blue, you basically ordered the same setup I have, or should I say, had

Yea, I think your car is awsome. I plan on doing some mods that will closley resemble yours, such as the CDC Shaker and the racing stripes. (I love the pattern you used)
My c-pillar scoops will be different, and I don't think I will put a body kit on it.

Does anyone have opinions on the lower side scoops that go just behind the doors? I have only seen one car with them on it and I like the look, just don't know if it would look good on one without the rest of the kit.
Referring to the one at Cervinis

Would like to hear your opinions.

Yea I bet the only difference is it has Wheel Locks !! They had three different people try and get me to buy that one FRIDAY. I finally got pissed and threatened to walk out. I told them I didn't want one off any lot, that I wanted to see mine roll off the truck with plastic still on it. I don't want a car like this off the lot that has been test driven by God knows who. I know how the Salesman and I test drove the the one they had on the lot.

I will not complain about waiting, unless it takes four months like some of you guys have had to wait ! :bang:

Vista Blue is a Great color choice
The factory is getting caught up so it should only be 6 to 8 very long weeks. What priority # did you get? Best one for retail is # 10. Call the dealer in a couple of weeks and try and get the vin #. Go to Blue Oval forums and ask Kzinti for updates. He can send you a window sticker once it is blended. I know what you mean about buying one off the lot, I got to take the plastic off of mine and it felt good . I know the Mustang Source and Blue Oval forums kept me sane while waiting

Hey there, CONGRATS on the order. I really like your color choice (see my sig below) I know the wait is painful, but believe me, it is worth it. I'm still waiting, and it's been over 5 months. BTW, did you go to the VB part of this site, and say hello?

Well, I kept calling the dealership trying to get a darn order number etc. Kept getting I'll call you back. Called dealership yesterday and finally gave me order #, and an unexpected surprise a Scheduled Date !! 02-13-06.
So I guess I will try to call ERL and see what she says (Got to find that darn number now )

If I have scheduled date should I also have a VIN by now? Or how long after should I get one?
Tried calling erl, but can't get past the body style "T82" she can't understand me.

(from another post of mine...)

When I call the ERL, I use the order number. My problem is the way I say the body type (T82), 50/50 chance she understands it. After 3 failed attempts, she transfers me to an Analyst, at which point I hang up and hide! It's frustrating at best.

Here's a hint I grabbed from a post last year by Flyinlow on how to speak nicely to the ERL. Hope it helps.

I have learned that when talking to the ERL, you can't use normal conversation. (I've done some work with voice recognition software). Voice recognition software is setup so you "train" it to respond to you. Thats not what actually happens. It trains you.

I was having issues with the same thing, body code, with the ERL. I learned that you can't use normal conversation and say it "tee eight two".

You need to say it "tee (pause) eight (pause) two" and make sure you don't trail off the words, cut them off sharply. When saying it that way, it works every time. Make sure to emphasize the "t" part of "tee" when saying it.

Well I finally got erl to talk to me, but I had to do it at home so I could practically yell at her

Just says what dealer told me, scheduled build date of 2-13-06.

So just need to know when a VIN will be established for my baby. I thought I read somewhere that once you had a build date a VIN was assigned. Am I right or just wishfully thinking.

Told myself I wouldn't get excited till she was on her way here, but I guess that didn't last very long.

VIN #'s get issued when car is 'serialized', which in your case should already be. I'm by no means an expert, but once you get 'locked in for production' I think you should have been issued a VIN number. Give your salesperson a buzz and ask for it.

Well I called my salesman to try and get my VIN today, and of course he was off.

My next stop was calling ERL. This time she told me something different!

Car is "Locked in for Production" (02-13-06) and the good news ETA @ dealer 2-23-06!!

I'm getting excited now
