Hello everyone,
For those of you that have ordered your cars, what has been the typical timeframe from order to delievery. Also if you could breakdown the steps in between I would apprieciate it.
Thanks,
Rosco

the steps would be 1) Use the search feature 2) read up on all the cool info at this site

8 weeks would probably be about right. Give or take a few... especially now that we are getting into the holiday

Seriously, Stephen, welcome to the forums. David was right though, the search feature is a great little tool. Typically 8 weeks sounds about right. Some of us pre-ordered a long time ago (myself, I ordered back in May). When the dealer finally got the VIN # 1 week later he got the DORA and the build date. I was told the build date was not for 3 more weeks and that I wouldn't see the car about 2 weeks at least after it was built. Well my car was built on a Tuesday and at the dealer on Friday for me to pick it up. So in my case it was only 4 weeks after the dealer got the VIN # till I was sitting in my car.

he wasn't asking for the timeframe from VIN to Delivery, he was asking for timeframe of ORDER to Delivery which is much different, and can be much longer depending on the dealer's allocation. Once the car gets pulled and assigned a VIN, then you are correct...it should be fairly quick if there are no delays.

Thanks for all the info. Basically once I get my VIN number it should be 3-5 weeks till I get the car. That's cool.

Also is anyone else ordering the Screaming Yellow, like I did??

My car has a 11/ 04 date and I purchased it on the 26 of the same month so they must be really rolling them out now.

This was ordering it? So it took them 3 weeks from when you ordered your Stang?

I'm fingers crossed, naners on standby.

Ordered on 11/06. Went by the dealer two weeks later and was told they didn't have any info, no DORA. My husband called today just expecting to maybe get the DORA, VIN, something. The salesman said he would check and call him back. The salesman calls back and says "I talked to the sales manager and he said this date is not set in stone but we show a delivery date of 12/13". HOLY.......!

So, we'll believe it when we see it. He is going to go to the dealer Mon or Tue just to double check but yes, they told us it shows delivery in KC on the 13th. Woo Hoo!
