I found the same configuration as I ordered, on another dealer's lot using Ford Direct. This is a Silver GT with IUP, color accent, etc.

The catch is, the dealer who has it doesn't want to deal! They want 2K over MSRP.

What do I do? What dealer in SoCal will both deal for $500 over invoice and will do a dealer trade?

Do I have other options?

See if your dealer could call that dealer and do a dealer trade. That's about all you can do. If not pay the price or just hang out and wait for yours.

Call Santa Margarita Ford, (866) 540-1610

they are selling at MSRP. And, will take plans. They are a very large dealer too. Talk to Robin Edmond, the general sales manager. Tell him Richard, who bought the 05 Black Gt last night referred you. They will treat you right, and give you the low down.

My dealer is slacking. Stoic, Galpin won't take AAA or CostCo plans, last I checked.

SurfnSoCal, will Margarita take these plans?

Galpin wont even budge from a market over MSRP right now either, never honored plans even though they said they would.

RSM I guess is since JRabbitt and SurfinSoCal bought under plans, or at least at good prices.

If not try Ken Grody in Carlsbad, it might be a drive but if you talk to Ski (no one else Ski is the guy who orders the car and pulls rank) and tell him Richard Robello sent you (bought my black gt from him last month) he will take care of you. On orders I know he will take plans. He's a good guy.

i was at groody last night to take a look at the 05 black gt they got in yesterday.
They wanted 3995 over msrp and said the best they could do was take half of that off(I told him that if they will sell it for msrp i'll take it right now). When I asked why they have a "market adjustment" and the other local dealers don't, he said he had no idea and walked away! The sales men there seem shady and talk poo about one another...as soon as one salesman turned his back another popped up..not a place I want to buy a car from.

but then again I did NOT talk to this Ski guy. I wish I would have because there sales team is not very professional.

but....the car is beautiful.

Hi,
Hold out! Don't let them rip you off. I also purchased my 05' GT from Rancho Santa Margarita Ford in So Ca. They don't mark there GT's up. Got mine at msrp, no hassle. I would contact them, or just wait it out. You can ask for Elie, he was very cool, gave me a great interest rate. I almost paid 3000 over msrp because i was impatient. It's worth the wait! Hope you get the car you want soon!

Yeah santa margarita ford is trying to establish themselves as the best mustang dealer around. I went to the Saleen debut they had and will probably go there when i am ready to buy. I don't think they go below msrp, but they don't go above it either on a dealer trade.
