I have an oil leak located in the lower part of engine coming from the bolts - it is right on top on the oil pan. Aside from tightening the bolts, what could be causing this? maybe the seals? I am not losing a lot of oil, but I still want to address this issue. The link will take you to my youtube video showing the leak I am referring to.
It's not uncommon for Gaskets to shrink over the years and the Bolts to come a bit loose. Retorque to Specs , Clean Area and see if it stops. Where your Actual Leak is is Called the Girdle. The Lower Black one is the Actual Pan. I'm Adding a Youtube Link which Maybe Helpful as to what is Actually Going on in the Pan Area of a 4.0L In an Engine Being Rebuilt!
