You know what you guys are missing here...the "bulge" could be...drumroll...NOTHING. That's why it's called camoflauge. That being said, that is a Cobra test mule.

SVT offices are in the Roush building that is where the car looks to be at.

Well, that really would not make much sense if they were trying to camoflouge the car. Without that hood bulge this just looks like another Ford Mustang GT with aftermarket wheels and a few parts missing. Outfitted like that it could be testing any number of mundane parts and people would never notice.

Doesn't seem to make much sense to me to add "camo" to an otherwise stock hood since the best camo would be a stock hood if it worked. The hood bulge is the only thing really drawing attention to the car, which makes it the exact opposite of camoflouge. It seems pretty obvious that the bulge is there to make something fit.

Nothing too exciting here. All you are seeing is a powertrain test vehicle. I could have photoshopped a image to resemble the same thing months ago.
Yeah, but what kind of powertrain? That's the intriguing part, not the pic itself. [/b][/quote]
We will have to wait and be patient. I would love to see a spy pic of the body work of the 07 Cobra. I really don't care what engine is in it; I know its going to be S/Ced and fast.

come on guys, they chopped open the hood to clear what ever they did to the motor in the car, S/C or larger intake manifold, whatever it turns out. No reason to go fab up a new hood for the thing if it is still in design review.

So it makes sense that this is a test mule for the SVT car. Whether its the Cobra (probably 90%) or some other SVT edition. The box on the hood is just a sheet metal ? fix to keep the elements out of the engine bay.

This is probably like what someone else said just a powertrain test mule and appreance wise has nothing in common with the final SVT unit.

No kidding Tried going over there a few more times and it wasn't in that spot and we also got slammed with snow.. so tried to head over there on Sunday, but the lot was full of the white stuff.

That is ONE of the Cobra test mules. There's also a silver (saw that one a good while ago.. it looked as agressive as this one, if not more. But the "hood scoop" looked a little different) and red one out.

And it looks like my days of posting these neats pics on the web might be coming to a slooooooow hault.

Got in touch with a person about pictures.. too bad black doesn't pay as well as red

Amy, I wouldn't blame you for getting paid for the pics. That would slow down our exclusive and speedy access to them. Maybe Brad can work out a deal with you. I bet the sponsors would pay a little to have exclusive spy shots or even members.
