And in that show they were using AK-47s with mucho ammo, yet no one ever got shot? Not alot of substance, but normal 80's tv drama.
While that is true at least you could find some humor or one liners out of that show....I found absolutely nothing from this show on any level as far as entertainment goes. I have always found it funny nobody got shot in the A-team....but when his mother got shot here and DIED from it there was nothing more than a blood stain the size of a Burger King ketchup pack....great special effects there!

This show may have fared better if it WAS the 80's....but it's 2008 and I honestly think it was the worst TV program I have seen in a LONG time....If this show came on as a series or repeated I would rather watch an old re-run of Green Acres over it....and I never liked Green Acres either.

Of course others may feel different but this is my opinion and I would have rather spent 90 minutes changing poopy diapers over watching it....at least a baby getting a diaper change will smile, laugh and interact with you on some level.

I liked it...Except for KITT in attack mode with that stupid double wing.
Knight Rider is supposed to be a little cheesy...just sit back relax and enjoy the car.

How many here registered for the contest. I know I did all four times. Maybe in a couple of months we'll see a member with some new pics of a GT500KR.

Anyone else notice Mike Traceur didn't have any problems filling up KITT's gas tank? It should have kept clicking off and KITT would have to tell Mike to turn the nozzle upside down because Ford can't figure out how to route the filler neck properly.

KITT's battery didn't die out after 1 day either... It's just not realistic.

How can you not like the movie?
It's got both the FN P90 and the GT500KR/S197:

Bad acting, bad cinematography, music was trash, car was cool except for the double wing. They really should spent more effort into developing something better for a 2 hour pilot movie. I could probably do better with that car and a couple of airsoft guns. I'll watch it if it airs, but i dont know if this is going to make it off the ground. Atleast they are trying to make some actual television shows instead of all the reality crap on tv now days.

Nah, it will probably be some 80 year-old lady in Wisconsin. Seems that's how these things go.

I wasn't planning on watching Knight Rider but my wife just happened to change the channel to it right when it started. So, we decided to see what it was like.

I'd say for a pilot/made for TV movie it wasn't too bad. Some of the plot points and story arcs were a bit off. It was also a bit confusing who the main character was. I know it was meaning to be the guy but half the show was focused on the girl. Also the first five minutes had way to much "eye candy" I'm thinking they put that in for Male viewer retention.

Don't know how many of you noticed, but this was a two hour long Ford commercial. I work for Ford so I caught all of the beauty shots and product placement shots. They really stuck out to me like a sore thumb. All of the cars that got passed on the windy road chase scene were brand new fords. They passed two 08 Fusions, an 08 Focus, an 08 Edge and the baddies were driving an 08 Edge. The FBI gal drove an 08 Escape. The motel had older Fords parked around it Crown Vic and Taurus. I even think the moms car was a customized Ranchero.

It wasn't lost on me that when the baddies chase vehicle was totaled at the end of the show it was a de-badged Chevy Suburban. HAH! Someone on the production has a sense of humor!

If it comes out as a regular series I'd probably only watch it for the Mustang beauty shots.

Kitt did none of the cool things he did in the original series:
Tubo BOOST.... YEEHAW WTF WHERE IS MY TURBO BOOST AND BUTTON!wooooooosh sound missing from show...
Take out a car or helicopter with computer awesomeness, Shouldn't Kitt have hacked back at the guy who was hacking him?
Ran down someone or put them up against a wall. The old Kitt didn't take crap from anyone. His voice was better etc.
All this junk about I am a machine and can't feel doesn't remind me at all of the old Kitt.
The car in the old series was awesome. This new car looks great and I like that it self repairs but why doesn't it do the cool stuff that the original did?
Also why did they get rid of the wrist watch talk deal between michael and kitt?

Also this time they could have made the woosh sound that was done during the tubo boost been more of a throaty mustang growl with some supercharger whine in there for good measure. It would been a huge hit if they had really spent more time watching reruns of knight rider versus just adding what they think people identify with.

MY GOD NOT ONE **** TURBO BOOST JUMP> Lets travel real fast to vegas. Did they only watch the final version with the transforming kitt? Kinda pathetic if you ask me.

I watch the show and I liked the way that they linked the original series to the new one but the special effects didn't look very good. I registered for the contast all four times, it would be pretty cool to see someone on this board win the car (one can only dream!)

Cool "KR" Time shall tell

Okay Gang: First. Let us not expect too very much from a made for TV movie. Next. Agree that some of the beginning situations were not required to develop the plot! Yes, some of the props and acting left us a little short from the start. But the upside was, that the show did a correct handoff from the original series with David showing up as the dad. And we got to watch one of our Mustangs tear it up on TV! Hopefully someone out there is listening and they can slightly improve on a little bit of great TV past with this new Knight Rider? Lastly. Two very good things can come out of this. Some very lucky folks will end up with some brand new Fords in the driveways. And secondly. This is great air time, for showing off the wonderful S197 Mustang to the rest of the world!! Maybe some good exposure to the fast and furious crowd. This American V-8 rear wheel drive fun, could win back some young souls at the dealerships. My own young adult son, still thanks me for showing him the American V-8 way, so many years ago. CalStang

Yep, it's all a Liberal conspiracy to oust benighted cliches.

*Excepting "24", but if writing bad guys for "24" you can include Muslims, but only if they work for a "white" Russian, someone from the U.S. government trying to start a war against Muslims, and someone from big business to profit from it.
Did you happen to notice at the beginning that one of the two guys demanding money from Mike Traceureaxlevquese (or whatever the frak his name is supposed to be) was a Muslim? He sure looked pretty middle eastern to me. I remember thinking: "Ah, so they're slipping in the middle easterner as the bad guy."

Now remember boys and girls, not to burst anyone's bubble, but those GT500KRs were actually GTs that were built to look like KRs as they had yet to start production on them and did not have any models available when the episode was being filmed.

I'm not even sure what to say after watching the movie except, what demographic group is this production intended to appeal to? My guess-12 to 16 year old boys.
