Positive review from CD, especially considering it came from Yates - that guy's in the dictionary next to the word "Curmudgeon".
You guys are too young to remember how Brock Yates oogled and awed over the Boss 302. He took a regular production street Boss 302 to some road race tracks and ran it, actually doing pretty well.

I bet the 05 Stang brought back memories of Brock's escapades with that Boss 302 back in 1969 & 1970.

This paragraph says it all:

What awaits tens of thousands of enthusiasts is a machine that not only captures the aura of the early Mustangs but also seems capabile of kicking its way out of the stable and bucking into an entirely new market segment.
It's pretty clear to me old Brock remembers his exploits with that Boss 302.

I keep waiting for the magazines besides motor trend to do a full review. They do lots of previews, half reviews, and rehashing of old info. I want to see a full review with acceleration times, and all test data. Car and driver, automobile, and road and tracks articles left me wanting and didnt tell me much new info.

I don't think the magazines have had a lot of access to the cars yet. Many of the reviews seem to be based on Ford inviting reporters for a short ride at a track. A few mags seem to have had the car for a longer drive, but still orchestrated by Ford. I don't think any of them have had a chance to take a car away and check it over thoroughly. Even Motor Trend indicated they didn't have it for very long.

Now that the cars are showing up at dealers, maybe the magazines will also be able to get a few for longer tests.

How about that BF Goodrich ad in the front of C&D?
I've been asking everyone for 2 days if they know what kind of wheels those are but no one knows!
