motor trend already documented that info. the 0-60 and the 1/4. you can also hear and see it on the autoweek video that was posted on here.

the 0-60 is 5.1 for the automattic. although autoweek said 5.0.

That was actually Motorweek. I just didn't want to cause confusion for those that might search for "autoweek video".

Once again, C&D proves it's the inferior car magazine. What a rag.

they did say some good things:

Mustang GT felt rock-solid and rattle-free...
ride motions felt firm and controlled...
plenty of room in the front seats, with an excellent driving position...
this latest version is ready for battle...

we had no opportunity to conduct instrumented performance testing, we'll confirm all these numbers in future examinations of both the V8 and V6 models...

Well, 5.4 was what i put my money on like the day before MT came along and blew us away. But then again, these guys actually drove the car didn't they? Hopefully they'll get actual test data in their next issue. It seems that car and driver won't have actually test numbers until the december issue, i guess MT's exclusive was actually exclusive.

I finally saw the Car Driver isue. First time I saw anything about the new Mustang being speed limited to 144-146 mph. I figured that was going to happen since the 03 Cobra was limited to 150 mph, but I was wondering if youd still be able to just reflash the computer to remove the limit? Or will this be set up differently to prevent people from doing that?

Noticed that too, I'm thinking that will be one of the first changes made by the tuners when flash upgrades become available.

Positive review from CD, especially considering it came from Yates - that guy's in the dictionary next to the word "Curmudgeon".

Still, need to see more reviews with instrumented testing. Manufacturer "estimates" and hosted test drives aren't very telling. All the subjective stuff (handling, NVH, assembly quality) sounds good so far, though.

I know exactly what youre saying. The first time I read the review I had to go back make to sure it was his name on the article. Seemed far too positive for him, since it was a domestic. Especially a Ford domestic, at that.
