Kid, there is a button on the dash that says TCS on it. Never ever touch it. It's a self destruct mechanism.

I don't believe it's jealousy. More of a concern if any, and thats how everyone has put it in the forum. We have all been there and can speak from experiance. Becouse once behind that wheel it is just to tempting to hit that gas and test it and keep pushing the envelope . The younger you are, the more tempting it is.

I guess the best thing that could happens would be a close call and one hell of a scare. But you could be certain something will happen some were down the road. No mater how good of a drive he is or think's he is. Statistic's have proven that over and over again that fate is against him. Particularly first year of driving and then with the added speed at his disposal. http://www.insurance.com/quotes/Article.aspx/artid/259

Ah I'm sure Roley really isn't listening any how. At that I age you feel like you know everything and are invincible. That is nothing against him, we all felt that way at his age.

I will say he beat me by 1 year. Got my new 5.0 GT when I turned 17, however I already had a GSX-R1100 at 16 and sold it for a Harley fatboy at 18. It was one of the best thing I ever did. I really needed to slow down some. To this day not really sure How I made it through those year's with all the bone head stuff I did both in the car and bike. I guess luck was on my side or angel's were smiling down on me on those day's(and there were plenty of them).

Would that be 6 tickets in the stang you dont have the airbag in??!
Read the entire thread before you say we are jealious or call a 16 year old a man.

And Roley, for the record it isnt that we are jealious or dont like you or anything else other than geniune concern for your safety. We were young once too, not that we are old, and we did the same dumb a*s things you have or will do. It was just a different time and things werent as crazy as they are now. As someone said the statistics dont lie and I think it would be a shame to see something happen to you. I have been in many dumb close to death experiences and I am still here to lecture so I truly hope in 20 years you will too. Good luck and be careful. There is so much more to life that you havent seen yet and will want to.

Hehehe I pushed that button once and had the car sideways within 10 seconds

Congrats on the car, I wish I'd gotten a Mustang GT 15 years sooner.

Any idea what the dealer mark-up will be on those for the first year. IMO it will be shelby price increases.

Roley, you think Foose are cool...

Put a CAI and tune in your GT, add some 20" shiny wheels and a 69 retro hood, and two tone paint job...

and PooF!!...you got a Foose...

Honesly I have seen and driven a couple and they are nothing special in IMO...

What in the world is your insurance on that thing? Mine is $300..EVERY month. Its ridiculous, but I can't really get any lower. Once I hit 21 in 11 days it'll drop about $50 and I plan on taking defensive driving to help lower it a bit more, but ****. I have to say, i'm glad i'm not a man. =D It would be so much worse. I also have NO speeding tickets. I want to know what a 16 year old male with a brand new Mustang GT costs on insurance.
