there is a parts shortage for the IUP. And it is in high demand. They are not making any v6 with the IUP while the GTs might have a temp delay but WILL get produced.

 

temp delay most probably due to the IUP shortage. don't worry, be patient, your car will come.

 

CDC will have different color dash panels for the 05 Mustang if you don't have IUP.

 

My salesman called me today & told me about the I.U.P Lite being available. I took it. I'll have to live without My Color. The photos for me don't do the standard int. justice cause they're mostly 2-toned. I've seen a complete Drk. Char. like I'm getting & for me it looked great. All that was missing was the steering wheel accents so now I'll have them. For me, better than the all alumiunum dash, I modified a chrome grill running horse so I can stick it to the dash area in front of the passenger side. I took it to the dealer & sat in the V6 to see how it would look & just my taste, it looked a hellava lot better than a plan panel of aluminum, especially with the dark black background of the dash. Best thing is it can always come off if I change my mind once the aftermarket offers dash panels that I'd like. For me the steering wheel makes it complete. I'd wait for full I.U.P if it came available on the V6 again next year but my current car won't hold out that long.
Ugh-h-h. I literally missed out on being able to order full I.U.P. by 2 days.

 

WE need a official ford rep to visit this forum once in awhile. There are thousands of potential buyers that visit this site. It's the least ford should do since they are confusing the heck out of us all the time. there comin, no wait there not coming. Oh ford ran out of this , you can't get this now geeezzzz. Brad !! Call ford quickly and get a rep to visit the site at least once a week to answer the important questions before someone hurts themselves.
Ford web site has Ask kate your friendly generated computer friend. That's not gonna cut it for me. I want the stang i ordered or I don't want it at all. $27000 is a lot for missing or compromised parts. at this point if i don't hear with in a week from my dealer what is going on with my car. It's cancelled and it's the titanium 06. Looks like I maybe taking the FOR SAlE sign off the Cobra to drive her another summer.

 

I wish the "IUP lite" (18R) had been available when I ordered mine in mid-Sep. I would have gladly paid the over-priced amount of $195 just to get the leather steering wheel.
