Brad said in the Shelby by SVT forum that he was told Shelby was definitely involved.

We should know more in a week or two, but the Ford Rep at the Cleveland Auto show did say that the Cobra would be out in mid 2006 and an SE(Mach1 ??) will be out in 2007 - 2008. He was from Detroit and part of Fords marketing department. I tend to take his word, over any "rumors" going around the web.
Shelby will fit in somewhere in all of this mess, but I also expect to see an SE fit between the Cobra and the Mustang GT. The Mach1's sold well, and I think Ford would be stupid not to take advantage of selling a Mustang in the $29k-35k area.

I would still like to see Shelby's creation independent from an SE like a BOSS or a Mach 1 and from SVT. My $.02.

I agree too, the Shelby could be the SE, in either GT350 or GT500 versions.

I'd like to see this many choices too, but I just don't think we'd get *that* lucky.
