Name that Special Edition
Not sure if this has been brought up yet,
and I think this would be kinda cool (especially since we are awaiting prices)
We all know eventually there will be a special edition,
but the when's wheres and whats... no clue.
Now, most harken back to the yesteryears names... Mach1, Boss, California Special, Twister, Shelby GT350/500/500KR. Or common names that we know of...Cobra, Cobra R, Pony Edition etc.
Bullitt is a new one as of 2001, and for money purposes may not be done again...at least in a naming aspect.
Here's the question....
IF IT WERE UP TO YOU, TO CREATE A NEW NAME FOR A SPECIAL EDITION....
WHAT WOULD YOU CALL IT, and maybe a WHY?
The Mustang ________

The Mustang ________
-Mustang Feral
-Mustang Rush
-Mustang Hyper
-Mustang Striker
-Mustang Rogue
-Mustang F5 (personal pic)
I like the F5 for the reason of its name.
Its simple, and describes a powerful Tornado...the F5
Or go to F6 as something that is SO powerful, and yet hasn't been seen/experienced by man. Its terrifying, yet speechless to watch and experience.
Something along those lines.

Just off the top of my head I kind of like . . (Now these are obvious, I’m not going to break any great marketing name barriers.)
The Mustang Maverick (Yeah, I know it was used on another Ford, but I think is has a nice ‘ring’ to the name.)
The Mustang Stallion (I think the ‘Stallion’ name was used on the II’s, not 100% sure)

I think it'd be cool if there was an order code P51 which would include engine and suspension upgrades.

Mustang Pegasus.

Yeah, the "North American P-51" package, only available in US and Canada.
BOSS 281? nah.....
Mach 2? nah....
California Special? BZZZZT, nope
Actually, I really have to agree that the P-51 is the coolest name.
The car should be Titanium Silver, with a black hood, and a "ducktail" style rear spoiler.

Mustang Dream
• Similar in philosophy to the Bullitt. A factory lowered GT (coupe and 'vert) with other handling upgrades, an extra 20 hp and a subtle-rumble-til-you-floor-it exhaust note. No wing. No fog lights. Factory "smoked" head and tail lights. Billet style grill.
• Unique gunmetal/argent 18" multi-spoke wheels (think 10th anniversary Cobra, but different).
• Any chrome/polished surfaces given a black chrome finish (grill pony, rear "gas cap" ornament, exhaust tips).
• Available only in special shades of Red, Blue or Green that are so close to black, the color only shows under certain lighting.
Man this is sounding cooler as I type it. I need to get BurningMan to do a Black Cherry photo chop.
