I just got off the phone with my dealer. He told me the Rep for my area is giving allocation for this zone (approx. 40 dealers) based on order dates. He said there are 10 orders in front of mine. He was still unable to tell me when I can expect to get pulled. At least it sounds like they're trying to do it the fair way here! I've got my fingers crossed it won't be too much longer.

I hit 90 days today. That GTO's looking mighty good. And, I can have one in my garage in a couple of days...

I seriously considered one a while back (back off SixtySix ) and decided against it. 5k more plus the potential 1300 gas guzzler tax turned me away. But still, 400HP and a 6 speed look mighty good. I thought about the blue on blue model....The interiors in the GTO are NICE! Plus the IUP isn't holding it back!!!

It is about 5K more - but there's no gas guzzler tax on the manual transmission; only on the automatics. (Of course, the manual is about a $695 option - auto is standard.) But for that 5K more, you get: 1) 100 more HP AND torque; 2) A better interior; 3) NO WAITING. Very, very tempting to just go for it.

Nope, my area does not include NJ. I'm way upstate.....8 hours from NYC.

As far as the GTO goes...I've NEVER even considered it. Just take a look at it! Don't give in to the temptation for a car you don't really want!!

Totally understand the frustration.....but IMAGE is much more important than a little horsepower in my opinion.

A GTO ?? Awesome powerplant !!! Interior is pretty nice. The powerplant and $5K only provides marginal performance improvement over the GT Mustang from what I've read.

Also, from an outward appearance - totally unimpressive. Absoultly NO style !!!
Is it a G6, Grand Prix, Grand AM, Sunfire or what. They all look alike. Looks like something my grand mother would drive.

GM should be ashamed of disgracing the legendary GTO nameplate with that body!

Good Luck Tom. You have been patiently waiting for quite a while now. I hope you get pulled soon.

You don't see the outside while driving, which is something I can't do in the 05 Mustang at this point. With no SHO, I don't know how much longer I can wait before replacing it.

Please - no GTO flames. I'm not ranting or complaining about the 05. The GTO is the only other even slightly comparable option at this point.

No offense Joe, but this is a Mustang site. GTO flaming is allowed!
