Also wanted the Red interior with IUP which has made for a difficult find.

 

My manual GT was just built on Friday so manual GTs are not depleted, but I'm sure they aren't readily availlable because of the high demand for GTs in general. This is the first I've heard about the V6s not having manual available, your best bet may be to keep searching existing dealer inventory. My periodic searches of local dealers have turned up mostly automatics, the manual trannies aren't popular with what dealers make available on their lots. Good luck with finding what you want, don't settle, consider ordering a 06 if possible.

 

What was your build week, brown412? I also ordered a manual V6, but have not been told anything about the cancellation since I ordered it ... This really really worries me! :shock: :bang:

 

I ordered on March 15. I didn't have a VIN # or a build week. Dealer showed me an email from dist. rep saying either order an automatic or wait for the '06. I'd be interested to hear if you get yours.

"All commodities for building a vehicle are rated as Low, Medium and High risk. High risk means it is harder to get parts, Low risk means it is easier to get parts. All drivetrains (auto and stick) for Mustang are at Medium right now. The final orders to the plant must be no later than July 8th, August 3rd is the final buildout date for '05, and August 5th is the official Job1 date for '06."

 

There was an issue in supply with V6 manual transmission for '05s in Nov/Dec. '04. Guess they might be having those same problems again.

 

According to our weekly Dealer News Bulletin that comes out on Fridays, for the Chicago region, Manual Trans is a commodity risk of medium. If they were done in our area it would have said so.
