All-
I finally went to the dealer and got an order status on my 05 Mustang GT. This is based on a 8/5 report
FYI, I placed the order 7/22, but didn't get down to the dealer until 8/17 to put down my $500. The fleet dealer was very generous in working with me without a deposit down.
My car is still unscheduled. There are a few on the status report (I only saw one page, mine is near the bottom, and the 05 mustangs roll off onto the next page), and those ordered in late July are still unscheduled. Those ordered in May/June have VINs.
Anyhow, that's my update. Those of you who hopped on it and ordered early, congrats! I'm in limbo for now, I'm not sure ~when~ it will get scheduled out at this point.
05 GT Premium, Mineral Grey, Med Parchment, IUP, Shaker 1000, Spoiler Delete, that's about it.

I really like the wild red interior on the option list, but not for my car, not this time.
I owned a '66 2+2 back when I was a kid.... it had a red interior, and I painted it a (non-Ford) Maroon color.... that was a stunning combination. The new interior option with the Red leather reminds me of that car every time I see it in images online.

Well, since I saw the photos of how huge the Shaker 1000 is, I contacted my dealer an had him modify my order (which isn't yet scheduled).
I had him downgrade the Shaker 1000 to the Shaker 500, which was my original choice (he entered the order incorrectly), but had him ADD on the Active Anti-Theft.
He said it took it in the computer, we'll just have to wait for their next Status report to see if it had any negative effects on my order.
Well, that's one of the only benefits of not having a build date that I can think of..
