my opinion...shelby gt500 will not hold value
#41
Right now, just about any car that is rear-wheel drive with a V8 in it is going up in value. I don't see how a well-maintained Shelby in 20 years or so, won't hold its value, especially since it is limited production. Just look at what a Fox body V8 stang is fetching now, and they're only 13 or so years out of production and they used to be on every street corner when they were new.

Shelby's values or Shelby value
I'm not looking at a Shelby as an investment maybe it will.....maybe it won't....maybe our kids will hate the evil gas cars cause they are harmful to the environment........ Buy the car GT-500, Shelby GT, future Shelby product, etc and have fun now cause tomorrow you might be dead...........
Just like the original cars they will deprecate over the short term just like any other car. Over 20 years you might see something but remember the current 65-70 Shelby’s are about 40 years old………. I’m 42, I sure as heck might be dead in 40 years so what if the car is worth 15 to 25 times what I paid for it…….. It’s a car have fun…..
The original owners of the 65-70 cars sure raced the heck out of theirs, read a book or two about Shelby-American or take a look at the SAAC they might focus on restorations now but a SAAC event is about racing these cars……..
The original owners cared more about quotes like “Next year Ferrari’s @$$ is mine!” from ‘ol Carroll than today’s “Is that paint mark correct for a GT-350R?”
So who do you want to be… The have fun now guy or gal (with a son or daughter) or maybe giving them a car you fussed over and only cared if it increased in value or a slightly used one and created some memories in it?????

Did everyone see that they added another option to the GT500's. As of Dec. 4th you can get the touch screen navigation system. I sure would liked to have it on mine. Dont even want to ask what it will cost to add to mine. Did anyone order one after Dec. 4th and if you got the navigation system how much was this option?
