The Ebay ones are junk.

Bought one some time ago and had it break. Epoxy helped for only a short time. Ended up breaking off again. Just got back from the dealer with an OEM fusion key. Will keep people posted on how it holds up.

OEM ones hold up VERY WELL!! I've had a 2008 Escape, and then 2 Fusions as company demos, and all 3 have the multikeyfob. No issues whatsoever! I've dropped them, had them in my pocket, sat on them (I'm only 160lbs, so no big deal), and still haven't even scratched the housing. Looks like the ones on ebay and aftermarket ones that just don't have any quality.

Forgive my ignorance, but how hard is it to get these keys to work in our cars? Do you have to go to ford to get it cut?

Thanks
Jesse

Not hard at all. Any competent key cutter can cut it for you. the process for introducing your new remote fob to the car is fairly simple too, it is a 30 second procedure, the instructions can be found on the internet.

I'm more than positive they'll hold up just fine. My sister's Milan has never had an issue and I've never heard of it until these Ebay knock-offs. Thanks for the input.

It's closer than you think. A trip to your owner's manual will show you how it's done

Thanks. I was reading in another thread that these won't work on 05s, is there a reason for that?

To be honest I think these fusion keys don't work well with our mustang because it takes more strength to turn the key. My girl's father has a escape with the fusion key and turning the key is very easy unlike our mustangs. Our mustang require me pressure to turn, therefore it is easier to break.

These key fobs don't have the trunk open option button on them do they? I use that alot on my Mustang key fob.

Yup, they do.

They have all the buttons the normal fob has, just they're on the key itself.
