My color dilemma
#22
My last car (and current) is an 02' Mini. Although I do enjoy the car, I have ALWAYS wished that I had followed my heart and purchased the color that I REALLY wanted instead of the only car for sale on the lot. Minis were so hot 2 years ago that you had to order and wait three months. Someone had ordered the car I bought and decided not to buy it. Follow your passion for your preference, not your impatience.

First let me say thanks to all who voiced their opinions. I suppose the answer is what I thought all along... I'm sure I got a little excited at the prospect of landing a 05 in the near future, but that's just me. After not sleeping over this for the last couple of nights, I am pretty sure I'm going to wait for the black or red's to hit the salesfloor.
Second, I just got off the phone with Ted Britt Ford in VA regarding the Windveil Blue GT. The salesman is a member of this site and goes by the handle ARKANGELx3. Seemed like a totally cool guy. He seemed straight up with me, giving me a date on build, (9/20) and an approx. land date. He took the time to look at their inventory, (multi lots) what they had on order and what they had comming in. They seemed totally fair on price, (no ADM) but close to MSRP, as we both agreed that if I want one of the first landed GT's on the east coast, that's what it would cost.
At this point, I have a meeting set up with him on Wednesday to talk about the Windveil blue GT, but will consider it for one more sleepless night, and go or cancel, based on my feeling tom AM, (as not to waiste his time) Seems like a cool guy and a good place to buy a car from, so he will earn a serious look from me as I narrow down my choice.
Peace
