My color dilemma
#1
My local dealer has a windveil blue 5 speed IUP w/17" that was built last week and is "expected" on the lot by the 3rd week in Oct. All the rest are already locked up or priority 10 customer orders.
My question is should I lock it in and put the deposit on it, get it sooner (I want it now) or order and get the my first choice in color and wait until late dec to take possession of the car.
My color preference is Black, Redfire and then Windveil
Just interested in your thoughts?
Peace

Honestly, I've ordered the Redfire and just love the color, but......the windveil is nice as well. I like Black 2nd, then white, but have windveil 4th.
If you jump now - it is probably impulse and you usually regret impulse purchases. Be patient, get what you really want and then 5 months from now you'll be much happier for having waited.

If your going to keep the car for for an extended time I would wait for your first color choice. But as others have said, W. Blue is certainly no consolation prize. It was my second choice.

Black?! Man, I guess so many people love blending in with the crowd.
Go with red -- it really brings out the curves and design of the car compared to the black. (forget the Windveil, just a "cool color of the week" if you ask me)

Wait! I did not wait for the perfect color of my explorer and I am kicking myself now. I have a red explorer and I go to CU and hate the Huskers. Red is not for me. I would love a black one. WAIT! You will be happy in the long run!

Being that you listed Windveil Blue as your third choice in your post. What you really want is Black, wait for the color you really want even if the wait is agonizing. As others have mentioned you don't want to start having second thoughts when you see the black stangs on the road.

I agree. Wait. If you want to buy a new car, get the color you really want. If you have your heart set on black and buy a windveil blue car--which I really like--you will kick yourself the first time you see a black one on the road.

Trust me. These people ain't lying. I had the color car I wanted and waited 3 months to get it. It was a Mineral Grey 2002. Of course at the time Mineral Grey was my 2nd choice and Silver was my 1st but now it's switched. My choices now are Mineral Grey 1st, Silver 2nd, & Blue & Green tied for 3rd. A guy ran me over & it totaled my 2002 & I only had 2 weeks to find another car so I had to settle for True Blue. And now everytime I see a Mineral Grey or even a Dark Shadow Grey on the road I am envious.
Of course I am very picky about the color car I drive. No red, white or black. Black I have had & it attracted everything & I figured white would too. And red, wel the last 3 cars my mother had was red & the 1st car I remember her having was a black thunderbird with red interior.
So, in short wait for what you want. DO NOT settle.
I am still :bang:
myself for not waiting
:drive:

Just keep telling yourself: "mass produced, mass produced, mass produced."
Within 3 months you probably won't even need to order to get exactly what you want.
Seriously wait for the color you really want.
